CESTOF Rights & Sharing Rules

You are allowed to share CESTOF forecasts, maps, outlooks, warnings, screenshots and public posts. The important rule is simple: CESTOF credit must stay visible, or you must include a clear link to cestof.com.

Sharing is allowed

You may share CESTOF public forecasts, maps, outlooks, warning images, archive images, photos from the CESTOF Photos page, and public social media posts for informational, educational, discussion, or social media purposes.

When sharing CESTOF content, use a visible credit line. Do not remove, crop, cover, blur, or hide the CESTOF logo, watermark, source text, photo watermark, or map credit.

Required credit

Use one of these credit formats when sharing CESTOF content:

For a forecast, discussion, or warning text: Forecast: Central European Storm Forecasts (CESTOF) — cestof.com

For a map, screenshot, or graphic: Map/source: CESTOF — Central European Storm Forecasts — cestof.com

For social media reposts: Shared from CESTOF. Original source: https://cestof.com

The credit must be easy to see and understand. A viewer should immediately know that the map, forecast, or graphic came from CESTOF / Central European Storm Forecasts.

If the original map or image already contains visible CESTOF credit, do not crop, cover, blur, remove, or alter that credit.

Not allowed without permission

Removing, hiding, cropping, or covering CESTOF credit, logos, watermarks, photo watermarks, or source text.
Reposting CESTOF content in a way that makes it look like your own original forecast or official warning.
Using CESTOF maps, forecasts, graphics, code, logos, or branding for commercial purposes without permission.
Copying the CESTOF name, logo, website design, warning style, forecast scale, or brand identity in a misleading way.
Editing CESTOF content in a way that changes the forecast meaning, risk level, valid time, affected area, or warning message.

Copyright notice

Unless stated otherwise, original CESTOF forecasts, maps, texts, outlooks, graphics, icons, warning products, archive products, website design elements, and logo/branding are protected by copyright.

Third-party data and base maps

Some CESTOF products may use or display third-party data, base maps, radar/satellite sources, model data, lightning data, storm reports, or other external information. Those sources remain owned by their original providers and may have their own licenses or attribution requirements.

Not official warnings

CESTOF is an independent storm forecasting project. CESTOF forecasts, outlooks, warnings, maps, and discussions are not official government warnings and should not replace national meteorological services, emergency authorities, or official safety instructions.

Permission requests

For permission to use CESTOF content without visible credit, for commercial use, for media use, or for any use that is not clearly allowed above, contact CESTOF before using the content.
